Place a pin
Click the element that needs work, write what's wrong and send it.
Before you start, make sure the extension is installed and turned on for the site.
1. Start a pin#
Click New pin in the Sitemark popup, or press Alt Shift C (⌥ ⇧ C on a Mac). The pointer becomes the pin.
2. Click the spot#
Click the element that needs work: a button, a heading, an image, any part of the page. The pin attaches to that element, not to a point on the screen, so it stays with it when the window is resized. See How pins stay in place.
3. Describe it#
In the comment box:
- Write what's wrong or what should change. Type
@to mention someone. - Pick a severity: Neutral, Low, Medium, High or Critical. Tab steps through them.
- Attach files if they help: up to 5 images, PDFs or text files, 10 MB each.
- Choose the project under Where this pin goes, or create a new one there.
- Team or Only me. A pin is visible to everyone on the project unless you switch it to Only me. See Private pins.
4. Send it#
Press Enter or click Submit. Save & copy link also copies a link to the pin, ready to paste into a chat or a ticket.
The pin appears on the page for everyone on the project straight away, and on the project's board in the dashboard.
See every pin on a page#
Choose Sitemarks on this page in the popup. The panel lists the page's pins and page notes. Use the Status filter to narrow the list and the pins on the page, or hide all pins while you look at the design.
