Install the extension

The extension is how you place pins on a website and see them there. The dashboard shows the same pins, but it can't place new ones.

Install it#

1. Open Install extension from the account menu in the dashboard, or search the Chrome Web Store for Sitemark – Website Feedback.
2. Click Add to Chrome, then Add extension.
3. Click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin Sitemark, so its icon is always one click away.

Sitemark works in Chrome on desktop. Phone and tablet browsers don't support extensions, so you can't place pins from them. You can still read and reply to pins in the dashboard there.

What it can access#

A fresh install can only reach the Sitemark app. It can't read any other website until you turn Sitemark on for that site. It never reads your cookies or your browsing history.

When you start a pin, Chrome lets Sitemark capture that tab for the pin's screenshot. It needs no extra permission for this.

Updating#

Chrome updates the extension on its own. Install extension in the account menu always opens the store listing, which is also where you can leave a review or remove it.
