Quick start
From sign-up to your first pin in four steps.
The Get started checklist on your dashboard walks you through these same steps and ticks each one off as you finish it.
1. Install the Chrome extension#
Add Sitemark – Website Feedback & Annotation from the Chrome Web Store. The extension is what places pins on a website and shows them there. See Install the extension.
2. Turn Sitemark on for your website#
Open the website you want to review. Click the Sitemark icon in Chrome's toolbar and press Enable here. You only do this once per site, and Chrome will ask you to allow it.
Sitemark runs only on the sites you turn it on for. Everywhere else it stays off and adds nothing to the page.
3. Drop your first pin#
Click New pin in the popup, or press Alt Shift C (⌥ ⇧ C on a Mac). Your pointer becomes the pin. Click the spot that needs work, write what's wrong and send it.
The pin lands in a project for that website. If the site has no project yet, it goes to your Inbox.
4. Invite a teammate#
Open the project in the dashboard and click Share to invite people by email. Then @mention them in a pin's thread. A mention is what notifies them. See Invite people to a project.
